Old Alykanas or Xechoriatis as it is also known is the original traditional village of Alykanas.
The resort expanded dramatically to become a tourist centre and the two are known separately as Alykanas or Old Alykanas.
The latter is about a 5-10 minute walk from the main resort where you can find all the restaurants, bars and shops you may need. Old Alykanas is unique as it offers a serene environment, quiet and relaxing with beautiful, picturesque scenery and stunning views over the Ionian Sea and out towards Kefalonia.
